| Comments: | The Padres
had a mini-camp held at Qualcomm
(Jack Murphy
Stadium) for several years. Besides the Tigers, this was the only
camp to be held at
the stadium where the home team plays. You could play for 3 days,
see the Padres play at night and be introduced on field at
pregame.
This was the only regular camp held in summer time and the price was
very
reasonable at $1250. Baseball Fantasy Camps, Inc. has been
doing these and other camps successfully for several years.
I attended this camp and had a great time. It was a real treat to play in the stadium. All the coaches were very congenial and Ken Nigro and staff did a great job in organizing the camp. We ate well and were treated well by the Padres organization. Got to 3 Padres games including the Tony Gwynn 3000 hit presentations and had 2 days of field passes during batting practice. I had a chance to meet a few Marlins, spoke with some of the Padres on field, including an autograph and hitting discussion with Tony Gwynn. This weekend camp was a great experience but is no longer offered. A couple of years ago, the Padres began
doing a week long camp at their spring training facilities in
Peoria, AZ. I've played at this complex several times myself.
The price for a week at this camp was a very reasonable $2,800 and the best
deal of all the camps. You won't find a better camp at a more reasonable
price. Currently, there is no Padres camp and there has not been one for a couple of years.. |

| I enjoyed this camp for the second straight year and I hope you did, too. The organization of this camp was great. The pro players were very friendly and cordial. They made you feel like you were one of them. Getting to watch Padres/Marlins batting practice on from in back of the batting cage was a real treat. Ken Nigro did another outstanding job, as did everyone else connected with this camp. I will definitely be back next year. |
| Use of the actual playing field for the Padres sets this camp apart. This was an excellent experience. My only dissappointment is that the long weekend came to an end. |
| The San Diego Padres Fantasy Camp was FANtastic. Ken Nigro was the organizer, and he did a great job. |
| I'm 43 years young, after my fantasy camp experience, what a thrill. My whole family enjoyed my exerpience. |
